Carrie Lynn Davis Barrientos

Carrie was born November 27, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas to her Army Veteran Father, "CL" Clem Levi Davis, Jr. and her Mother, Carol Louise Taylor. Carrie passed away January 18, 2025, in her Dallas, TX apartment, at sixty years of age. She attended Fort Worth Independent School District Schools during her elementary, Jr. High school and High school years. Following her parents' divorce, Carrie lived with and was raised by her Father's Sister - Dorothy Ann Davis McFaddin, whom Carrie affectionately called "Mom," and her husband, Uncle Raymond McFaddin. Carry loved music and singing. During her older childhood and high school years, she was a member of and sang in the Texas Girls Choir. She met and married her Soul Mate and the Love of Her Life, Jesus (Jesse) Barrientos, an auto mechanic and a very loved and respected Hispanic Wrestling Association referee. God blessed them with twenty-four years of marital bliss, until Jesse's passing, May 30, 2020. Carrie and Jesse had no children but dearly loved their Animal Child/Fur Baby "Biscuit.". Following Jesse's death, "Biscuit, a registered Service Pet," was her constant companion who gave her much comfort. Carrie retired after 25+ years as an employee of the Sam's Club, Garland, TX., where she worked in the Floral and Bakery departments. Carrie attended Culinary School. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking and decorating cakes. She was called on numerous occasions to serve as Hostess, to prepare and decorate special order cakes and hors d'oeuvres, for parties and Quinceaneras. Carrie grew up in a Christian home and was a professing believer in her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. For the past two years, Carrie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, TX, where she joined and attended a Sunday School Bible Study Group and for the past 3-4 months, she had the privilege to be a member of the church's "Worship Service Choir". Her fellow Church members, Bible Study Group members and Choir members made her feel welcome, gave her much needed support, encouragement, and happiness. Special Friends: Earnest Gonzales, a twenty-five-year friend of Carrie and Jesse, Grabel Welch, Mrs. Ella Daniels, a fellow member of Carrie's YMCA Exercise Class and Shopping Buddy, Randy and Donna Welling. Donna was a dear friend and one of Carrie's former Sam's Club work Associates, Mrs. Alicia Barreras, and Miss Bertha Evans, another one of Carrie's Sam's Club work Associates. These special friends made daily/weekly calls to check on Carrie, helped her with transportation and in so many other ways. Their friendship, love and support were an important part of Carrie's life. Carrie was preceded in death by: Husband Jesus (Jesse) Barrientos, Father "CL" Clem Levi Davis Jr., Carrie's adopted "Mom," Aunt Dorothy Ann Davis McFaddin, Uncle Raymond McFaddin, Aunt Doris R. Davis Hernandez, Grandmother Levina Willie Geron Davis and Grandfather, Clem Levi Davis Sr. Carrie is survived by her Father's Brother, Uncle Billie Ray Davis, his wife Rita, and numerous Barrientos, Davis, Hernandez and Geron cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
