Lee Cranford

Lee Cranford, age 85, of Fort Worth, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 10, 1938, in Gadsden, Alabama to Leo Cranford and Thelma Wright Cranford. Lee was a devoted Child of God, husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather who impacted the lives of many with his gentle kindness, wisdom, and unmatched sense of humor. His legacy will continue to impact generations beyond our years. Lee's presence brought joy to any room he entered. His genuineness and unconditional love touched the lives of everyone he met. His faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life, and his devotion was unparalleled. Lee cherished his family deeply and spent any amount of time doing anything they needed or wanted. His selflessness was a testimony to his love for his family. He is preceded in death by his cherished wife of 65 years, Carolyn, and sisters Elizabeth Allen, Doris Harris, and Linda Forney. He is survived by his sister Mary Warren; his five children Pamela Rearden, Trish DeMuynck (Jack), Michael Cranford (Melora), Paula Martin (Michael), and Barry Cranford (Jennifer); his twelve grandchildren Chris Robinson (Svetlana), Mike Francis, Rivanna DeMuynck, Jackie DeMuynck (Kevin), Tim Cranford (Norma), Nathan Cranford (Linnea), Zach Cranford (Sarah), Luke Cranford, Amber Martina (Nathan), Jennifer Grothe (Robert), Shanna Martin, and Austin Martin (Bailey); 23 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Lee's grandchildren fondly remember his love for ice cream, his belief that "a dessert stomach is different from a regular stomach, so no matter how much I eat, I always have room for dessert," and his love for an ice-cold Dr Pepper. His laughter, gentle touch, and the way he made everyone feel cherished will be deeply missed. Lee was not just an example to follow; he was the example. He taught his family to love, laugh, be kind, and, above all else, to help others in need. His legacy will live on through the stories we tell and the love we share. A celebration of his life spent in faithful service to Christ will be held on July 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. at LifePointe Church, 120 FM 731 in Crowley, TX. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in honor of Carolyn Cranford, who held Lee’s heart for 65 years.
