Margaret Campos Castillo

Margarita Campos Castillo was born on April 12, 1965, to Juanita Garcia in San Antonio,Texas. She went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2024. "Margaret" dropped out of school at a young age to start working and help her dear mother with the family household. At just 15 years old she gave birth to her first daughter, Cindy. A year later, she had her second daughter, Silvia. That same year she met the love of her life, Francisco, and they would go on to have four more children together, Hugo, Louisa, Michael and Rosalio. They were married for 42 happy years until her recent death. She liked to watch her "novela" tv shows and also enjoyed listening to music, and especially dancing with her husband. In those early days they could dance all night together, until illness prevented her from moving around much. There were those times where she forgot she was ill and would still try to dance the night away! Margarita had a special love for small animals, dogs, cats and birds. She would spend her days caring for them and would always welcome a stray puppy or try to find it a good home. She also liked to collect Our Lady of Guadalupe pictures and symbols and always visited the grave of her mother on the holidays with relatives. This mother enjoyed raising the kids and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved to watch the grandchildren participate in their sports and activities, Corina in cheerleading, basketball, volleyball & soccer, Hugo Jr. playing in baseball games, Catalina dancing & singing princess songs, etc. She loved them so much! She wanted to see them all grow up and graduate from school one day. She fought like a Guerrera (Warrior) to be here with us, but God had other plans for her. Margaret will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends and will always be in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Garcia; father, Martin Castillo; sister, Marisela Castillo; and recently, grandson, Santiago Rey Campos. She is survived by her husband, Francisco Javier Campos; children, Cindy Castillo Sandoval and husband, Silvia Acuna, Hugo Campos Sr. and wife Ullisett Campos, Louisa and husband Charley Dickerson Jr., Michael Campos, and Rosalio Campos; grandchildren, Alicia Campos, Jessica Campos, & Miguel Campos Jr.; Juan Manuel Sandoval, Maria Anna Sandoval Castillo, Brianna Sandoval Castillo & Alexa Marie Sandoval Castillo; Jorge Arturo Acuna, Daisy Acuna, America Acuna & Arturo Acuna; Hugo Campos Jr., Giovanni Campos & Fabian Campos; Corina Dickerson and Catalina Dickerson; six great grandchildren, and four siblings, Martin Castillo Garcia, Mike Castillo Garcia, Moises Castillo & Melva Castillo.
