Learn our story, from the beginning and into the future.
Ever since we opened our gates we have approached life (and death) differently. While some just see the end of a loved one’s life as a time for grief and mourning, we prefer to think of it as a time for reflection, appreciation and even celebration. This is evident in everything we do, from the way we conduct our services to the amenities we choose to offer. We are not a burial ground. We are a close knit community dedicated to honoring, sharing and preserving the amazing and inspirational stories that are life.

Ricardo
“Ricko” Amalla was born in Crosbyton, TX on July 8, 1955 to his loving mother,
Maria Amparo Saldana. He passed away on November 26, 2020. Ricko grew
up in Dallas, Texas and was a graduate of Adamson High School. He then went
on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington where he graduated with his Bachelor
of Business Administration, which was a profounding moment for him. It was at
the time of his beloved mother’s passing, Ricko began to explore a career in
death care. Through his hard work and determination, in 1992, he graduated from
the Dallas Institution of Funeral Service. His drive and ambition of opening
his own funeral home came to fruition in 2000 when Amalla Funeral Home was
founded. With his willingness to service families at all cost, he would gain a
reputation as respectable, professional, and personable. He was a man that was
full of style and proud of his life and what he had worked towards.
